The Titan® is the first light-based solution for deep skin tightening. It can be used on all areas of the body where tighter skin is desired. The procedure is non-surgical and uses safe, infrared light instead of radio frequency to cause the collagen in the skin’s dermis to contract and tighten. What Is The Procedure Like?

The procedure is done at the doctor’s office and takes 15 to 60 minutes depending on the size of the area. Most patients do not require any anesthetic, however, some patients prefer to take a mild pain reliever beforehand. During the procedure the doctor guides the Titan’s computer-controlled delivery device over your treatment area. You will feel a warming sensation as the infrared energy is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin. The energy causes the collagen support tissues to contract and tighten. The underside of the hand piece provides cooling to your skin’s surface, protecting it and keeping you more comfortable during treatment.

What Is The Recovery Like?

After treatment you may resume your normal activities immediately. You may notice some mild swelling and/or redness in the treatment area. This usually disappears in a few hours.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Several treatments may be required subject to your skin’s laxity, the area, and the results you desire. During your consultation your doctor will advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments needed to achieve your desired results. The results from Titan® Tissue Tightening are gradual and may take from three to six months to maximize the effects of treatment.

What Results Can I Expect?

What Exactly Is Vibraderm And How Does It Work?

Vibraderm is a dermatologist-developed machine that utilizes a special (mildly) abrasive paddle that fits into a hand piece. The paddle vibrates causing exfoliation, thereby removing the top layer of dead and damaged tissue, smoothing out imperfections, and leaving the skin feeling and looking healthier and more radiant.

The patient purchases their own personal Vibraderm Kit that includes a small and large paddle set that will only be used on their skin. Therefore, no cross contamination issues exist. 

What Is The Treatment Like And Is It Painful?

The treatment performed with Vibraderm is called Vibradermabrasion. Vibradermabrasion is a simple office procedure. The doctor will evenly move the Vibraderm paddle over the specific skin areas to be treated as the paddle vibrates. The procedure is fast and painless with essentially no risk or downtime. Many patients describe the treatment as pleasant and relaxing. Treatment for the face/neck and upper chest can be performed in approximately 10 minutes, and with the speed of this device, full body treatments are now practical and take approximately 40 minutes. Vibraderm packages usually contain six to ten treatments. Because Vibradermabrasion is so gentle and gradual, multiple treatments are needed to achieve best results.

What Can I Expect After Treatment?

After the procedure you can resume all your normal daily activities immediately. Your face may be slightly red and this will subside in about one hour after treatment. After just one treatment you will notice a great improvement in the application of your make-up and your skin will feel very soft and smooth appearing healthier and more radiant.

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a new type of a nonsurgical procedure that uses medical ultrasound for cosmetic improvement of the skin.  The Ulthera system delivers a low amount of focused ultrasound energy to the skin, at just the right depth to achieve a positive effect, leaving the surface of the skin undisturbed.  Your skin’s response to the energy is to stimulate the growth of new collagen for a firmer, tighter and more lifted appearance.  This is a no down time procedure and you can usually return to normal activities right away.  The regenerative process is initiated right away, but the full effect will build gradually over the course of two to three months.  The procedure does involve some mild discomfort but you do not need anesthesia during the procedure.  The treatment can be performed to a variety of areas of the face.  This can be advantageous for cosmetic improvement causing for example, the skin on the forehead to improve and lift the eyebrows and thus enhance the appearance of the eyes.  In addition, the treatment can be performed on the area of the cheeks to improve the area of the jowls.  Only one or two treatments are recommended for most patients, however some patients may require additional treatments.

The Zeltiq procedure utilizes highly controlled cooling technology to safely and effectively reduce and eliminate fat cells from specific areas of the body.  Unlike traditional invasive surgical procedures, the Zeltiq procedure is non-invasive.  It delivers significant fat layer reduction in targeted areas to help contour the body and reclaim its natural shape.  The Zeltiq procedure requires no anesthesia or recovery time.  During the procedure, tissue is drawn into a cup with mild vacuum pressure that may initially cause some discomfort or an unfamiliar sensation.  Patients may also experience a mildly uncomfortable cold sensation that usually subsides within ten minutes after the procedure begins.  Once the procedure is complete, patients can immediately return to their normal activities including work and exercise.  In most patients, a single procedure is sufficient and will provide noticeable and measurable fat reduction in two to four months.
